Electronic Accounts

MedClaims Direct Billing Service, Inc. offers its customers the revolutionary option of a secure, all-electronic account. Patient information and superbills are stored electronically and easily transferred to portable media as the provider requires. An electronic account also affords MCD the ability to pull records instantly in the event the provider's office or an insurance company needs clarification.

Electronic Claims Filing

MCD process claims electronically for those carriers that accept electronic claims submissions. Filing electronically expedites payment as well as greatly reducing the lag time created by an insurance company query.

Paper Claim Filing

All paper claims are billed and mailed out within 24-48 hours of receipt by MCD.

Claims Follow-up

MCD knows that simply filing a claim with an insurance company does not guarantee timely payment. MCD tracks claims from filing to payment and rigorously follows up on unpaid claims, appealing denials and resubmitting claims at no extra cost to the client.

Secondary Billing

As providers know, the primary insurance company is often the starting point for receiving payment for services rendered. MCD tracks secondary insurance policies and bills these companies with the same vigor as we do primary insurance companies.

Worker's Comp

The most common reason for payment denial for a Worker's Compensation claim is the absence of Progress Notes. MCD tracks which claims are Worker's Comp and secures the requisite Progress Notes from the provider's office before filing the claim.

Reports

MCD offers its clients precise and detailed monthly reports. Custom reports available upon request.

Patient Statements

MCD issues monthly statements and updates patient addresses immediately as necessary.

Soft Collections

MCD tracks patient balances and will consult with provider on the status of balances that may need to be referred to a licensed collection agency.

Customized Forms

MCD offers customized superbills (including the updating of outdated DX and CPT codes) and patient intake forms, as well as various miscellaneous forms (e.g., Insurance Update Form, WOP Form, etc.).
